What does a relationship of integrity with the larger Shambhala community look like for our local community, and for each of us personally?

The Emerging Future team is inviting all of us, across the full range of emotion and belief, across the spectrum of felt connection and/or disconnection--including new or infrequent participants, as well as regular members--to contemplate this question.

We welcome those who have come to previous Emerging Future sessions, as well as those who have not yet participated.  When we come together, we are able to draw on our collective wisdom and honor the full spectrum of what is present in our local sangha.

Because we know we are in transition and change, we continue to try new processes and we ask for your grace and open-mindedness. We will continue to work with processes that bypass our egos and discursive mind.  In this workshop, we will make a map of our current situation (using small objects) and then discern what needs to change in order to realize the highest future possibility for the DC Shambhala Center.

Each participant is asked to bring a picture or physical object that represents, in your view, the current state of the DC Shambhala community (or yourself personally) and its relationship to the larger Shambhala community.

To help us prepare for this workshop, please register to let us know that you plan to attend.

If you have not attended a previous session and wish to ask any questions beforehand, you are welcome to contact us at [email protected]

Please note: We are monitoring the coronavirus situation as it unfolds and will decide closer to the date whether to gather in person or to move this workshop online to Zoom. Please do register early so that we can prepare in advance to be ready to hold it on Zoom, which will require additional prep on the part of our team. Thank you.
